Book Reviews of Oh, the Places You'll Go!Book Review: One Of My Favorite Ones Summary: 5 Stars
This is probably one of my favorite books written by Dr. Seuss and one that I read to my daughter when she started school last year.
It is really an inspiring book about change and what to look forward to, without the somewhat serious or darker moments in other books, such as in Horton where the Whos are in danger.
The book is also perfect for anyone about to have a big change - changing jobs, moving, graduating. The chances are many people have read this at one point or another, but may not have a copy anymore. It usually brings a smile during times of transition and shows that in some respect we never really grow up completly.
Book Review: FORGET ABOUT MICE, MIDGETS, AND MISSING CHEESE Summary: 5 Stars
If I were still in the corporate world and wanted one honest, from the heart, book to use to help my friends, employees, or co-workers when the time came for them to move on to something different in their lives or careers, I'd give them a copy of OH, THE PLACES YOU'LL GO! I think that it would be a lot more useful to get a positive feeling for what one can find out there, than to be told that finding the same old cheese in a different cheese box is the way to face the future. When I am reached retirement age, I looked on Dr Seuss's book as a positive picture of what might still be in store for me. My cry was, "Bring on the future!"
Book Review: Do you really need to be convinced? Summary: 5 Stars
You will read raving review after raving review here on Amazon and for good reason. This book is the best way to say to a graduating student "I want you to make the most of your time at college." Light, fun, extremely well illustrated and classic Dr. Seuess throughout, the only reason you should be reading reviews is for pure enjoyment. You don't need me or anyone else to tell you this book is worth buying, it's a no-brainer, just like The Power of Focus for College Students or Harry Potter.
The journey from high school into college is a tough one, give someone you know something to cuddle up with and smile about.
Book Review: Magical, whimsical, a literary masterpiece! Summary: 5 Stars
This is my personal favorite from Dr. Seuss. The whimsical drawings in this book are so incredibly original and magical. The language is simple and the rhymes are just perfect. If you only had enough money for one Dr. Seuss book, I would recommend this one. Between the lines, there is a "self-help" component to this book. The advices are timeless and universal. Just a great book to have on your shelf, whether you have kids or not!

Book Review: Not just for kids... Summary: 5 Stars
You thought the good doctor only wrote books for kids...
You probably also thought that both the story lines in the Disney movies were for the children, too...
This is a great book for adults, students, and children. It's a wonderful gift for anyone taking a turn in their life.
So, if you have not read it recently, get a copy today. And if you have read it, get a copy for a friend who has changed jobs (or even lost a job), been promoted up the ladder, graduated from high school or college, or had another change in their life.
Remind them of "The Places They'll Go!"
