Book Review: Makes an excelent gift!!

I was given this book as a gift for my first child and it has been a favorite in our family ever since. The pictures are bright and interesting to babies and bigger children, the book tells a wonderful story about the of birth and each new day. My oldest child also loves the facts at the back of the book about the sun, moon phases, gravity ect. If you are looking for a gift for any age or for an new mom this book will be treasured forever!Book Review: Excellent Bedtime Reading

My kids ask to have this read to them every night. I was lucky enough to pick up my first copy at a thrift store and had tears in my eyes in the store. I have purchased this book for several friends, and I think I will soon need a new copy for our collection since ours is getting VERY READ. Wonderful and Lyrical the kids now read it to me....and tears still well up in my eyes. A must get for any new parent.Book Review: Forget "Goodnight Moon"!

This is one of the most beautiful books you could ever read tp any child of any age. I have been reading it to my daughter since I could hold her upright in my arms...the text is rhythmic and beautiful. It truly captures the transcendent nature of a infant's entry into the world. It is hard to read with dry eyes.
I join with other reviewers in saying that this is my favorite gift to give to new parents.
Book Review: Sweet, great art, and enviro-friendly

This is a great book that really has made my son (now 3 1/2) feel special. It has lovely, colorful illustrations that would catch the eye of a very young reader, and the basic gist of the book - all about the patterns of the heavens, earth and "all the creatures" and the new life of the baby are all quite gentle and sweet. This is a lovely gift for a new baby (forget the layette items, people get too many anyway!) - this and On the Night You Were Born are the books I send to all the new people I know. The sentiment in this book is perfect. In the prose-like text of this book, the little one is welcomed by the earth - the pictures are bold and fun to look at. I love it.
