Book Review: Strange looking potty

I agree with other reviews that this is the strangest looking potty I've ever seen. This is not what any American potty looks like. However, my 23 month old son likes to read about Joshua, and he likes to look at the pictures of the poo-poo in the diaper, and the poo-poo in the potty, and the poo-poo in the big potty. Now he likes to look at his poo-poo in the potty before we flush it down the toilet. But he's still not potty trained.Book Review: Good start

Well, this is the third time we have used this book and it is really exciting for our almost two year old. He started using the potty within a couple of weeks...he loves to read the book while he is sitting...lets hope it lasts!!!
Only complaint I have is that the author uses some silly words for body parts and natural processes...but luckily my son can't read yet so I just change the words to suit.

My son recieved this as a gift. When I read it he thought the potty was something to eat out of. The picture looks like a mug full of food instead of a potty. The pictures do not look current and it does not look like any potty he has ever seen. They show the potty on peoples heads and the cat drinking out of it. I think it sending the wrong message. I, the reader, find this to be a terribly written book. (If you read it, you'll see what I mean by that!) I also don't like the use of made-up names for anatomical parts. I think she calls it a "Pee Pee". Call it what it is. Agree with other reviewers about the so-called "potty" in the illustrations is very confusing. It looks nothing like a toilet. My son was having trouble sitting on the potty long enough to let anything come out. When he saw that Joshua had to sit for a really long time he felt better about waiting. I believe it is easy for little boys to relate to Joshua because he is a little boy JUST LIKE THEM! This is the perfect potty training book and I am going to buy it for my nephew and grandson! This book is AWESOME!!!
