Book Reviews of Once Upon a Potty -- BoyBook Review: Nice 'classic' potty book. Summary: 5 Stars
The great part about this book that sets it apart from other 'potty' books I've seen, is that it describes body parts in terms children can understand. It's also fun to exaggerate the repeated concepts & words when reading aloud, i.e. " he sat, and sat, and sat, and sat". Funny book.
Book Review: Great Books Summary: 5 Stars
My Son loves this book. We had gotten the Book for girls at a yard sale and he constantly looked at that book. We love the one for boys just as much. He seems to relate to this book. He shows me the page and tells me all about it while he sits on the potty.
Book Review: Awkward! Summary: 1 Stars
This whole book seems to be written for a different time. The potty they have looks like a flower pot. We found that we had to reword most of the dialog to make it appropriate for our family which is fine, but why not just buy a different book.
Book Review: A little too explicit Summary: 2 Stars
This book is a little to explicit and "colorful" showing the potty (the pictures of the poop and pee-pee). My son is having a hard time understanding what the potty in the book actually is because is looks like a pitcher.
Book Review: learning by osmosis Summary: 4 Stars
At 20 months my son is already enjoying this book even though he isn't quite ready for full-on potty training. But making him familiar with the process through reading should hopefully be a great start.
