I got this book from the library looking for a scarf pattern. I had to have it for my own! I love the variety of up to date items that can be made using one skein or parts of skeins. Directions are easy to follow, most of the patterns are simple. I have generally thought of knitting in terms of sweaters but these small things are a delight to knit. My Christmas list got fixed up and my supply of left over yarn is quickly diminishing! This is a terrific knitting book with lots of variety. I found so many projects here that I'd like to start right away. And I did not notice anything "ugly" in this book (not sure where that comment in a previous review came from - everything here is so cute!). Yes, many of the projects are small items, but since the title clearly states they're made from "One Skein", the content is certainly what could be expected.Book Review: Brilliant book!

Great book for those of us who like to knit but don't have the time to complete large projects. The photos are great, and it's fun to see all the different submissions from various yarn shops and the author herself. Totally fun! This will be my inspiration for lots of small Christmas presents next year, and I will give this book as a gift to other knitters. I love this author's work!Book Review: Great for quick projects

This is a book that can be used by novice and experienced knitters. There are many projects for using up left over yarn, altho most of my yarn is not the brand suggested in the directions. But substitutions are relatively easy to make. Many of the patterns would be great for boutique and "craft" sales projects. Directions are easy to read and follow.
