At first I thought this book was funny and clever. I soon realized that page after page is filled with the same boring and often unfunny offensive jokes. It feels as if the writers were simply trying to fill space. The "humor" has a science to it that all too often makes it predictable and bland. Not worth buying- sorry.Book Review: WONDERFUL!

If you are a fan of the previous ONION books, this one is a no brainer. Tons of material and all of it is solid gold. It reads like a real Atlas, except in that ONION style. Quick delivery and perfect condition. This book follows true Onion fashion. It's hilarious and gives descriptions of every place in the world. Don't expect it to be politically correct, which is what the Onion never is, and which is also what makes the Onion absolutely hilarious. One of the funniest books I have ever read. Our Dumb World contains some of the most brilliant writing to ever grace my optical receptors. From making fun of the South, to poking fun at how a standard Atlas is read, this book is guaranteed to make coffee-table chatter hilarious.Book Review: Our dumb book.

It's one thing to make fun of America's ethnocentrism, France's arrogance and Canada's um, whatever, but the jokes in this book about genocide, child prostitution, starvation and rape are in very poor taste. At worst, this book is sick. At best it's just not that funny.
