Book Reviews of Outer BanksBook Review: I would give 10 stars if I could. Summary: 5 Stars
The first novel I read by Ms. Siddons. I believe it is the best novel she has ever penned. I vacation at the Outer Banks in North Carolina, every summer, and I could picture each place she talked about in the novel. Each character is described in such clarity that you feel you know each one. The ending is a great surprise! Well worth your time and dollars spent.
Book Review: A disappointing read Summary: 2 Stars
I've always enjoyed Siddon's descriptions of the locations and milieu of the characters in her books, and this one continues at a high level on that score. But the plot line was not engaging. Very slow. I kept waiting for something intriguing to happen, as it does in other of her books. I'd skip this one and read another of Anne Rivers Siddon's wonderful books.
Book Review: :) Summary: 5 Stars
I loved this book. It would definitely be good summer rading. I'm a college student with lots of homework but I had to put the homeowrk aside until I finished this book. It's a story about 4 women and their changin relationships through life. Reading this book is like reliving the college experience. The plot kept me hooked. Enjoy!
Book Review: Feh! Summary: 1 Stars
This has to be my least favorite ARS book. What a disaster. The characters were all way overblown and stereotyped, and everyone just seemed so darn shallow. I like the comment that it seemed like Stephen King finished the book. Very true. Overall, a giant "feh"!Skip this book.
Book Review: Simply wonderful Summary: 4 Stars
I love the way Siddons' characters twist at the end of the stories. This one was especially great, the way the main character freed herself from years of baggage by confronting what she thought was real, only to find one (exlover) was two dimensional, and one (Fig) four dimensional
