I have used "Painless Algebra," "Painless Geometry," & "Painless Grammar" while homeschooling my children. Whenever I find a mental block in my child while trying to teach a subject I have turned to the Painless Series and have had great success with it. The simple explanations combined with fun illustrations makes it easy to learn the basics of any subject. I highly recommend this series.
Book Review: Great book even for adults! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought the 1997 edition when I was in my early 40s and working on my bachelor's degree. I bought the book to help me review grammar and prepare for the required writing exam for graduation. I now have my master's degree and I still keep this book on my desk and within reach! It's an easy read and an easy reference for the times you need help with those intricacies of American grammar.

Even though this book is geared for the 6th-8th grade student, it offers sound advice in a clear, easy-to-understand style. Who needs a grammar book that's full of long, linguistical answer that no one can understand. If I'm stumped by a grammar question, I don't hesitate to pick up this fun reference tool.

Book Review: It's Getting Me Through English Comp! Summary: 5 Stars
I love these books from the Barrons library. I was getting confused with grammer. This is my freshman year and I want to improve my GPA. I can honestly tell you this book delivers. I took my first exam today with more confidence than all the notes I took in class. Well worth the money.

This book is simple, straightforward, and really easy to read. Some of the examples are pretty funny and I found the presentation of the material very comprehensible. I highly recommend this product for anyone wishing to improve their writing or grammatical skills.
