This book was beautifully written. I'm reading it for the third time.
When Maya moves to live with her Mom's relatives in Wyoming after her grandmother dies, Maya is a liar. But as the book goes on she becomes a thruthful and tough person. She learns to ride in the camp along the banks of the sweet water river in the mountains of wyoming. She meets her annoying cousin Peyton, Uncle Fig, Aunt Vi and her Grandpa, Moose. She also is interested in the mare that used to belong to her mother. This book is so vivid and real. I love it and could read it a thousand times. I might even buy it. i always forget how much I loved it until I get it out of the library and read it again. I love Pam Munoz Ryan's writing style in this book. It makes this book unique. A must read for horse and nature lovers! I think even people who dont really like horses that much would enjoy this book.
