Book Reviews of Pat the Bunny (Touch and Feel Book)

Book Review: Pat the Bunny
Summary: 5 Stars

My little brothers and I all had our own copies of Pat the Bunny. (Fifty or 60 years ago the books were made of paper and didn't last long enough to be handed down to another child.) Now I give Pat the Bunny to all my friends' babies for their first birthdays. The mothers are always thrilled to receive the books, and the babies love them! (For second and third children, I give Pat the Puppy and Pat the Cat; from the fourth child onward the cycle begins again with Pat the Bunny.) Highly recommended!

Book Review: LOVE the book, HATE the plastic ring binding!
Summary: 4 Stars

My 1 year old loves this book so much she tore it to pieces. It has many touch and feel items such as 1) a soft bunny and "daddy's" scratchy beard to touch, 2) flowers to smell, and 3) a boy who has a cloth over his face to play peek-a-boo with. It is truly a classic!

I did not give this book 5 stars because of its plastic ring binding, which allows children to easily tear the book apart. I have had to piece this book together several times and at this point it is beyond repair.

Book Review: Pat the bunny
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a true classic! I was read Pat the Bunny many, many times growing up. I recently bought it for my granddaughter and she loves it. The first time I read Pat the Bunny to her she was sitting in my lap on the floor. We read it over and over and by the end of the day when her mom came to get her she was playing peekaboo and putting her finger in the ring. The best part is whenever I pick up a book to read her, she climbs right back into my lap and that is an absolutely precious feeling.

Book Review: A Classic that Really Impacts
Summary: 5 Stars

Our 2 year old daughter got this book when she was a few months old. She immediately loved touching the bunny - and quickly learned to turn the pages - to look in the mirror with Judy. By 7 months she was smelling the flowers, putting her finger in the ring and playing peek a boo with Paul. At 9 months she would ask us to let her smell all the flowers in the garden and on the street. She still loves the book and enjoys when we read it with her and her new baby brother (4 months old).

Book Review: Very flimsy, low quality book easy destroyed by a baby or toddler
Summary: 1 Stars

I just received this book today. I will be returning it tomorrow at my own expense. The content is cute but the quality of the book is very low. The pages and binding seem very flimsy. If I let my baby have this he would destroy it very quickly. We have several other interactive books with things you can touch or open panels and they are all made of much more durable materials. This was a big disappointment. I am very surprised amazon would sell such a low quality version of this book!
