Book Reviews of Paula Deen: It Ain't All About the Cookin'Book Review: Honest and Real!!! Summary: 5 Stars
Just finished this book in 2 days..I couldn't put it down and when the kids weren't bugging me I'd sneak a few pages in. Loved it!
I love her show, her cook books, and now her as a person even more. She's real, honest and just throws it all out there for you to read. Love it or Leave it! She is who she is and if you don't like her, get outta here! I just adore her. I think she has passed up a lot of years in a bad marriage, and agoraphobic, so now I wish her much peace, love and happiness. She certainly has paid her dues and should enjoy everything she has and will receive!
Buy the book, you won't be disappointed! it's a great read!
Book Review: Completely, utterly candid! Summary: 5 Stars
It cannot be said that Paula Deen sugarcoated her autobiography! She candidly lets it all hang out, warts and all! I admire her honesty. The book is written as Paula speaks, peppered with lots of "y'alls" and typical southern, Paulaesque expressions. It's a quick read, easily read in a day. I thought that, as a diehard Paula Deen fan, I knew everything about her life--not the case! This is a story about a life with lots of roadblocks, mistakes made, years of blood, sweat, and tears, and, ultimately, a remarkable success story. Not just for Food Network fans, this book is an inspiration for women who've experienced similar circumstances.
Book Review: Great Book! Summary: 5 Stars
I am not normally an reader....Actually, I never read unless I absolutely have to~! I got this book for inspiration and encouragement-and boy did I get it! I love this book! I can hardly put it down~! Perhaps some think it too spicy~ but I dont think so. It really makes you see the person behind all the success and glitz and glamor. And the struggle to get there. It makes me smile often -even laugh out loud at times ! I can just picture her sitting with me telling me her story with that wonderful Southern twang in her voice~!
Thank you so much Paula for having the grit and guts to write it -even though it was not easy for you~!

Book Review: Definitely a woman to admire and respect! Summary: 5 Stars
What a wonderful book by an awesome lady! Life is not always easy and often times not real pretty. Paula shares how through determination, perseverance, hard work, love and dedication of family, and more of all of the above, she has been able to succeed in business and find true love. Paula Deen is a woman to be respected and admired for all she has accomplished. She is living proof that anything is possible if: (1)never forget where you come from, (2)family always comes first, (3)be willing to keep a positive attitude, pray faithfully, and work HARD, (4)and last but not least BELIEVE! GRITS...Girls Raised In The South!!!!
