Book Reviews of Peek-A Who?

Book Review: Laden fan
Summary: 5 Stars

We own "Grow Up", "Ready, Set, Go" and "Roberto, the Insect Architect" also written by Laden, and we LOVE them all. As we turn each page, our boys hopefully anticipate what creative and fun illustration they'll see next. The books read so fluidly and easily that my little boys (1,3,5 yrs old) memorize the words and rhyme along with us as we read them. We have given these books as gifts every year for Christmas and birthdays and the recipients have equally enjoyed them. I typically recycle books(out with the old and in with the new) but these are in our collection to stay.

Book Review: surprisingly loved by all
Summary: 5 Stars

I have to admit, I am a book snob when it comes to the kids. I am a mother of 3 girls. I was given this book when my oldest was born. We tried several "first" books, and this one caught the attention of the little baby every time!
Short and to the point for adults, and pleasing to the eyes and ears of babies.
My 3rd baby (6 months old) now loves it. She rotates between this one and another and if you try to show her another book she cries and squirms. Overall, we are very satisfied with this as a great way to introduce our babies to books!

Book Review: My 9 month old's favorite book
Summary: 5 Stars

This is my 9 month old's favorite book. He smiles whenever he sees it and breaks out into a laugh when I turn the first page to Peek-a-Moo! It holds his attention every time. He's surprisingly not that interested in the mirror in the back, but I like it because then I get to see his face when he's sitting on my lap to read. This is one of the few books I've seen him "reading" all by himself. He just can't get enough of it. I'm actually online to order myself a second copy because the corners of this one are well chewed :) I highly recommend this book.

Book Review: The Best Book we have!
Summary: 5 Stars

My son has loved this book since we started reading to him at 3 or so months. He has learned to turn the pages (and since the text is so short, I can read it before he turns!) He loves the bright simple pictures and especially the mirror at the end. He always kisses himself, it is SO cute. Course, now he kisses anytime he sees his reflection. This book is wonderful for the simple text and great pictures and the predictablity (a great pre-reading skill!) Our son is 10 months and will sit and "read" it to himself now! A must have for any child's nursery.

Book Review: Great book for toddlers!
Summary: 5 Stars

My 14 month-old enjoys this book! As he reads it, in his baby talk, he tries to repeat the voice inflections that I use when I read it to him...so cute! The colors are great, as well as the little mirror at the end of the book. It's a little book that fits perfectly into little hands, or diaper bags! When you are introducing books to babies, I believe it's best use books that are short and colorful. You are trying to keep them interested, but are also delaing with a short attention span. This one is great! We read over and over again.
