Book Reviews of Peek-A Who?Book Review: My son's favorite book by far!! Summary: 5 Stars
My son and I discovered Peek-A-Who at our local library's Storytime. Even though he was only 7 months old at the time he paid attention as it was read and was so excited to see what came next. We immediately went out and purchased this book and it has been his favorite book ever since. He loves the rhymes and gets excited if we even mention the name of the book. I am now ordering the other titles by Nina Laden and I'm sure he is going to love them too. I highly recommend this book and give it as a gift to all my friends with babies.
Book Review: Good choice for baby's first book Summary: 5 Stars
My baby just turned 5 mos old, when he's about 3 mos old I started to show him books to keep him entertained and quiet. I found some of the infant books are too "mature" for babies at early age, it's probably because most parents wanted a book that babies would be able to play around later on. But this book, it's rather simple yet fun, it builds "suspence", my baby will actually anticipant and laugh and check out himself when I show him the last page. So, I am quite satisfied with this book, more than other books I bought for him.
Book Review: Infantile Book Summary: 1 Stars
This book is for really young babies who respond to bold graphics and colors. It's very short and very basic, containing 3-word, repetitive phrasology (Peek-a-Moo, Peek-a-Boo, Peek-a-Zoo, Peek-a choo choo, Peek-a-You - there, now you've read it.)
IMO it will bore most older babies, because it lacks even basic concept development or rudimentary story progression. To my 13 month old it may as well be a drink coaster. (In fact the book is about the same size as a large coaster, maybe that's what I will use it for.)
Book Review: Little books for little hands Summary: 5 Stars
I love this! love the mirror on the back. My son is 7 months and he reach for it to play with it. Its durable so he can put it in his mouth. He hasnt really react to the mirror in th back yet but I think thats only because he's still young. My nephew, who is 6, just starting to read, loves it when he came over. We made him guess at the end and he said "Peep a" Kliff, which is his name, so cute. And when I was trying to pick out a book to read to my son, my nephew was like read this one. He wanted to borrow it too.
Book Review: zero creativity Summary: 1 Stars
I have bought this so called board book after reading the reviews. And I have found out that a video review would have helped a lot.
Our 5 month old boy did not find the book attractive at all. And the pages are so hard and thick that it might be harmful for your baby if you let him/her play with it alone. May be it is more suitable for a toddler.
I also did not like the fact that there are not many pages to skip to. If your baby does not like one of the pages, there are not many to choose from.
