Book Review: Finally Free From Photo Guilt!

I didn't know exactly what to expect in Stacy Julian's new book, Photo Freedom, so when it arrived and I finally opened it - well - my first thought was, "Wow!"
For those of you who are thinking that you are already free from photos because you have gone digital in your photography and/or scrapbooking, think again. (yes I kind of thought I was free too, lol). What you can't see in those hidden digital files still needs to be dealt with and Photo Freedom is just the book to help you do that.
Even more important - those of you who do not consider yourselves scrapbookers per se but have hundreds of digital photos and/or boxes of printed photos and memorabilia hiding in your closets and basements - this book is for you too!!
If you take photos to capture memories and moments, and your photos are the inspiration for preserving your life stories - then you will really connect with the message of this book. Stacy covers everything on a big scale and then breaks it down into little bite-size pieces - easy to work through step by step.
The thing I love most about this book is even though photo organization sounds like it could be tedious, as I read through the book I found myself getting more and more excited about organizing my photos - I was jotting down ideas and flagging pages with post-it notes to go back to when I have a few more minutes...this book is that good.
I have to say that I highly recommend buying this book! I am seriously going to pickup a few more copies to give to family members who don't scrapbook but have photos they want to organize. I don't know how Stacy does it, but with Photo Freedom she has once again pulled off a great read that is full of wisdom, great tips, and inspiration - I never regret the time I spend learning from her because I always come away a better memory keeper and that is a very good thing!
PS - for digital scrapbookers, yes this book does talk about more about traditional photos, however, if you take the principles in this book and apply them to organizing your photos in software, you will be so glad you did! I also highly recommend Stacy's Library of Memories Class on Big Picture Scrapbooking where digital scrapbookers will find a lot of personal coaching as for the how-to's behind applying the LOM class for digital scrapbookers.
