Photoshop Elements 6: The Missing Manual
I am new to photoshop, and recently bought the new Elements 6. I was looking for a book to help with digital scrapbooking in elements, and found this. It is not specifically for scrapbookng, but I have found everything I needed quickly and easily! It is a fantastic book, written in easy to understand format. I have already recommended it to other friends both new and old to photoshop. MUST HAVE!!

This is a manual that actually reads well. I have not had it long enough to have mastered PSE6 but am dealing with one task at a time, as the author recommends.
PSE6 can be intimidating, particularly if you need the help of a written manual. We all have different learning styles and remembering what I just read in the online manual from Adobe and applying it to my project doesn't work for me.
The author walks you through each process and says it several different ways. I am really enjoying this book!

This book really helps. Whether you are just learning any windows based software to experienced with digital photos. Book starts out covering the major basis and then helps with some deep dive instructions. I have just covered the first third ... and like the fact I can use the software with the book there to "try things out." I recommend this book. I would have given it a full 5 starts ... but some examples could be described better. Overall ... well worth the price. Amazon delivered quickly as promised.Book Review: Now I know

This book is a must read for anyone wanting to discover and understand many of the features of Photoshop Elements. I have read several books showing how to do various things with Elements but "The Missing Manusl" is the only book I have found that explains the programs features. My only complaint is perhaps not typical but the binding of my book is very poor. The cover is comming off and several of the pages are already loose or on the verge of comming loose and I have handled the book very gently.Book Review: Poor printing...

Reading others' reviews, I had expected a great deal from this book. However, because of blurred and/or too dark illustrations, I found it very frustrating to read the text and then to try to correlate what I read with the illustrations. I complained the distributor who said I could return the book, but, since it was highly recommended, I asked for a better copy. I'm now waiting to hear from the distributor. I'm willing to give it another chance.
