Book Reviews of Platinum Prom: The Crowning of a Beverly Hills Clique, A NovelBook Review: This book's hot Summary: 5 StarsHi, this is Paris. Me and my BFF Nicole are reading this together. It's really hot. Okay we're not THE Paris and Nicole, but everyone calls us that and we're hot too. We're seniors and gonna graduate this year. We live near Beverly Hills so we wanted to check this out. And it turned out to be a really good book.
It's all about senior prom and a group of BFFs scoring the best designer dresses and throwing the most amazing after parties. Two girls get Chanel dresses and one girl gets Versace. They jet to Vegas to go shopping, and then they're off to Palm Springs for spa time at the Ritz. My fave scene was in the mud room in Palm Springs where they dish out all their secrets. Awesome scene. The prom after parties are hot. They rent the Staples Center and party all night long. I've done that too. So take our advice and read Platinum Prom. Tell your BFF to read it too, so you can be as close as me and Nicole :)
Book Review: Awesome book Summary: 5 StarsHi, it's Nicole. I read this with my BFF Paris, and no we're not the famous Paris and Nicole, but everybody in school knows to call us that. Like Paris says, we're seniors and read this book together. It was way better than I thought it was going to be. First of all, the dresses the girls find are way too hot, and their shopping trips are unreal. Anyway, this book rules and like Paris says, the mud scene is one of the best, but I also LOVED the big after party!!!
Everything and anything that can happen at a prom does, and you'd never expect one of the couples that gets together at prom. You'll love it too, especially if you're into reading about dating, friends, and fashion.
Book Review: Highly recommended by A-List reader Summary: 5 StarsI read Gossip Girl and A-list, but when I found Platinum Prom, I thought it sounded really cool, and decided to try it. Turns out it was a non-stop page turner, and one of the best books I've read in a while. It's about a popular clique of rich girls in Beverly Hills who plan the prom of their lives and fight over dresses, boys, and winning prom queen.
The book is a countdown to senior prom, and just like My Super Sweet 16. Claire hires a big time wedding planner, April's dad arranges for a private Chanel runway fashion show of prom dresses, Tawny sends her personal stylist to NYC vintage shops, and Shayna gets a dress with real rubies and emeralds all over it.
I have to say Platinum Prom really surprised me, because I loved it as much as my favorite series A-List. The anticipation for prom night kept building up, and then delivered in a big way. But I also really enjoyed all the chapters leading up to prom, including their jetting off to Las Vegas to go dress shopping. I liked April the most, because she was the most glamorous and confident. It ended with a hint of a sequel, so I'll definitely be looking for that. I highly recommend this book, especially if you like Gossip Girl or It Girl or A-List. Also great for Clique and Meg Cabot fans too.
