Book Review: helpful cookbook for the non-russian

As someone who is not from anywhere close to Russia, this is a good cookbook. However, it is not truly a Russian cookbook, as advertised; it is really a cookbook that covers all the ex-Soviet countries. The explanations are comprehensive, and the recipies clear, but a bit complicated. The ingredients are almost all found at your local grocery store, unlike many other ethnic cookbooks. There is great variety, and the cookbook is well organized. Unfortunately, no photographs.
