It's a pity that Saxby's "Practical Holography" is no longer in print. It covers a lot of ground. While the tone is frequently technical and too mathematical for the layman, this is compensated for by the numerous practical illustrations and examples.The developer and bleach formulary is excellent. While I eventually settled on D-19 rather than mixing my own developers, I have not found another bleach as satisfactory or simple as his #2 formula.
The section on building your own huge plastic lenses for collimation over large plate areas remains a novel and practical approach to an ongoing problem.
Go to your local library and see if they have it. If they don't have it, see if they can get this on loan for you. It's well worth the effort to read.
