Book Reviews of Predatory Game (GhostWalkers, Book 6)Book Review: Feehan is always a pleasure. Summary: 4 Stars
I really enjoy this particular series and I've read all but Lily's story.
I sat on this for a while before starting it because I was worried it would be too heavy coupled with what else I'd been reading. But when I started it I was hooked almost immediatly and then couldn't put it down.
Like every mated pair of GhostWalkers, Saber and Jessie are special. Fast-paced action, gut wrenching emotion, and new pieces of an old puzzle keep this story interseting. You want them to succeed so badly.Their attraction may have been pre-ordained but no one ever belonged together more than these two.
Book Review: Game series holding up better than dark series Summary: 4 Stars
This is book 6 and I'm still enjoying the Ghostwalker series. At about this point in Ms. Freehan's Carpathian series, I realized I was tired of reading the same story with a new title about the same characters with new names; although, I think I read about 10 or so before I quit buying them. Another reviewer felt this series was getting repetitive back in book 5. If I begin feeling that, I will drop this series, too; but so far that hasn't happened for me. I found Jess Calhoun and Saber Wynter as interesting as the Norton Twins and their twin heroines. I'll be there for book 7.
Book Review: lacking Summary: 2 Stars
I have read all of Christine's books and am disappointed in this latest effort. The lead character Saber is portrayed as a jealous little girl rather than a woman who is trying to find her inner strength. The lead male comes across as a patronizing older man who wants to take over a girl's life instead of a man who wants to help his partner stand tall for herself. The bantering between them is childish instead of funny. The storyline is choppy without a clear theme. It never pulled everything together. The book never grabs you and dares you to try and put it down.
Book Review: Great read!! Summary: 5 Stars
Another wonderful story about the Ghost Walkers. A few days before this book was released I re-read Shadow Game, Lily and Ry's story. I had fogotten how technical that book was and at times difficult to keep up with. This newest release had just enought technical information to keep it fun, intriguing and I wanted more. I found both Saber and Jess interesting and likeable. I highly recommend the entire series. Christine Feehan is a terrific story teller. If you haven't read her other book, find them.
Book Review: I liked it but.... Summary: 4 Stars
I like Christine Feehan, in my opinion she is one of the 'Greats' of the genre. This story appealed to me because one of the perfect Ghostwalkers was shown with a disability that he had to overcome.
The story was handled differently from the other Ghostwalker stories, but in it's own way it was well done.
However it wasn't as fast a read as many of her stories are. I'm not sure what happened with this one, but it seemed to slow down in places.
All in all a good read.
