Book Reviews of Pressure Cooking for EveryoneBook Review: A little bland.... Summary: 3 Stars
I bought this book because it was one of the books highly recommended in the pressure cooking internet group that I am in. The book is beautiful but kind of bland in taste. It goes to show that you can never judge a book on its cover. I was kind of disappointed with the purchase. I recommend any of Lorna Sass's books. I own all of her books and everything tastes just right and is pretty easy to use.
Book Review: Not for families Summary: 2 Stars
I was very dissapointed when I received this book. There are a lot of unusual recipes that kids just would not eat, nor would a meat and potatoes man. As for me, I'd say that I wouldn't even waste my time trying some of the recipes...just a little too "off the wall" for our taste. Many recipes call for expensive or seasonal items, too. I'm returning my copy...
Book Review: Is a great starter Summary: 4 Stars
My first encounter with pressure cookers. Was an amazing introduction though my only thought on improvement is that if a full diagram of a pressure cooker had been included it would have made it spectacular.
Happened to purchase a Fagor poressure cooker that had a dvd included. Low and behold, this book is from their extended line.
Am really pleased!
Book Review: I wish I could keep it.... Summary: 3 Stars
THIS COOKBOOK IS FOR 5-7 QUART PRESSURE COOKERS!
I have two other books by Rick Rogers and I love them. The recipes in this book seem family friendly from BBQ chicken to "no-cook" orchard applesauce. Unfortunately I have to return it today because I have an 8 qt pot so I would have to adjust all liquids. But I really wish I could keep it :(
Book Review: Fast, Tasty, and Simple Summary: 5 Stars
A wonderful and well thoughtout book. All your questions are answered without needing to have a culinary degree. The pictures are splendid and the recipies are easy to follow. A must for anyone who loves good, wholesome food, but does not have the time to labor over the stove. Why make a 4-6 hour beef stock when you can do one in an hour.
