Book Reviews of Princess: You Know Who You AreBook Review: If you are shallow, spoiled and selfish and proud of it, you Summary: 1 Stars
will love this self-indulgent, key to be a selfish, high maintainance, materialistic snob handbook. Princess behavior? I love clothes and makeup and feeling pretty, and I'm all for loving yourself, being good to yourself, pampering yourself, having high standards for yourself, but this book is nothing but obnoxious. This is not a Go Girl Guide. This a guide to be a totally self-absorbed, spoiled brat. Here's a question for the PSAT (Princess Self-Assessment Test). By acting like this, you will a.) turn people off. b.) not have any friends...or at least not any real ones c.) never find true happiness. d.) all of the above. Guess what? Sometimes it's not all about you and you are not always center of the universe. I know I feel much better about myself when I make someone else feel good opposed to finding the latest opportunity to make it all about me. Perhaps a better name for this book would be "Selfish "Witches" & Gold Diggers. You know who you are."
Book Review: Warm, wise and witty! Summary: 5 Stars
I adored Francesca Castagnoli's 'Zine of the late '90s by the same title. I loed that this fellow Long Island Girl turned her wedding into her own magazine. Much of her wedding expertise and wit are in the last chapter of the book. Her, wonderful, concept of being a princess is actually all about power, poise and self confidence. There is nothing demeaning about it! She argues that women need to take care of themselves to feel their best. She also expresses the need for friendships among women rather than cattiness. Her tips on finding a style muse are wonderful and something all "profashional" women need to consider. This is like an etiquette book for the modern woman, but instead of stuffy manners she encourages women to just have fun and be themselves! I read it from cover to cover the day I purchased it and have continually flipped throught it! I hope Francesca keeps on writing!
Book Review: A Must for the Princess In All Of Us Summary: 5 Stars
Being a Princess is not a state of mind. It's a way of life. A way of life that entitles you to act as you see fit. And wearing amazing clothes as you do it. Many may find the title Princess demeaning, but once you read through Francesca Castagnoli's PRINCESS, you will see that it is actually a title that any self-respecting woman would be happy to hold. A title that brings power, poise, profashionalism, and more along with it. With various chapters that give you tips on clothing, guys, parties, pooches, and the coveted wedding, PRINCESS is a must-read for the princess in all of us.

Book Review: Cute and Fun book! Summary: 4 Stars
Princess: You know who you are is a fun little escape book where a woman can feel like she truly is a princess, or maybe find out that being a princess just takes too much effort and it may be more time effective to just eat some chocolate while reading about all the hard work other women are doing to maintain a Princess status. According to this book there is a lot to do to be a Princess and after reading it I was so worn out that I needed a mani and pedi, stat. If you feel that reading about being a Princess is much more fun than having to WORK on being one, this book is for you.
Book Review: an impossibly cute and fun read Summary: 5 Stars
This is one of the cutest books possible for self-proclaimed girly girls. I find myself picking it up on a frequent basis. I read it at work, while taking a bubble bath, on a plane and at the beach. It is adorable!
I like how the author reminds us that it's okay to pamper ourselves silly and indulge. She also says that a proper princess needs to be able to take care of herself, which scores big points in my book. No "latch onto a man" stuff here: I love it. The section on weddings was great too.
If you are a girly girl, this book is a must.
