I bought this book for my 3yo bc the reviews seemed pretty positive and she LOVES pink. I knew it would be written in verse but it is sooo long it's hard to get through. About halfway through, my 3 yo kept asking me, "mom, can i go now?" She did want to wait and see what happened to the butterfly though, so we just stopped reading the text and talked about what was happening. She may be a little young for it, but she is very good at following long stories, this one just did not hold her attention.
