Book Review: Great Book, a must have!

This book is really good. Although I have a few complaints with the exercises, the content of the book itself is worth the price you are paying for. The writing is very friendly and easy to understand, full of images and very interesting articles.
I've read many books or articles about singing. At least 90% of them just focus on the anatomy and their "unique singing method". Mr Vendera's book goes beyond that. First of all, he states that singing is so diverse and wonderful that there are just many techniques, method and teachers that can always help, that his method is not the only one and for that he includes many articled written by many famous vocal coaches, singers, teachers, etc. hat itself is just a great move of professionalism. It's very hard to find a vocal coach that can admit that his method or technique it's not the #1 for every person in the world. Points for that
Now to the content. It starts with the basics of singing, basic anatomy, breathing, posture, relaxing, etc. Mr Vendera goes to every detail in every chapter, he always provides tips from his experience or from other singers or teachers, that can help the singer, improve in that chapter.
A very important chapter that I have not seen in other singing books or courses, it's the vocal health one. You will find almost everything, if you are a singer on the road, you will never want to leave this book out your gig bag. It contains information of what's good and bad, what you need to eat and a great supplements to improve your vocal health.
There are many other chapters that are a must read, but I will go straight to the singing. Here I found some problems with the exercises, since it may be a little to advanced for new students. Mr Vendera does all the exercises, some of them are just outstanding, others...not so much ( he apologizes about it, but could be fatal for a new student who tries to imitate his mistake) The exercises are good, but can take a while to control (that depends on the singer and his level)
For those Rock singers out there, this book finally brings some exercises to do some grit, screaming and raspy effects. Sadly this chapter it's not as big as many Rock singers would need it, but so far it's one of the best one out there. In this chapter, the exercises are very well done, Mr Vendera proves why he can break a glass with his voice alone!
I did like the fact that at the end of the book you will find many websites that can be a good check, although some are already offline (in the web, nothing lasts too long).
I have to make clear that many people may find annoying that Mr Vendera endorses many products in his book, you do not need them to do the exercises of follow his method, so don't worry about it.
Overall, I would give him a 4.5, just for some of the poorly audio files, but there is a lot of gold information in that book that it's worth much more.
I Highly recommend this book.
