Book Reviews of Rapture in DeathBook Review: "...in Death" series are getting better and better Summary: 5 Stars
In this exciting installment of the "...in Death" series, Rapture in Death, Eve and Roarke are on their honeymoon on a planet that Roarke is turning into a resort along the lines of Vegas, in the futuristic sense in the year 2058. The resort is still under construction and so it's not open to the public as yet. While enjoying a relaxing stay at the luxurious hotel Eve finds she is investigating a suicide. One of the engineers working on the construction, a young man, hangs himself in his room. The odd thing about it being the peculiar smile or look of utter "rapture" on the man's face. Eve and Roarke return to New York and the suicides continue. Eve must find the link between the suicides and discover if they are really murders. This was one of my favorites in the "...in Death" series. Highly recommended.
Book Review: interesting and compelling study of humanity Summary: 5 Stars
I have read several of the Eve Dallas series and enjoyed them all. I am intrigued by the plots, the several sub plots and the interesting interplay between the characters. The premise of possible mind control is a worry that is perfectly understandable and in this day and age of advancing technology a possibility. The people are people and have all the foibles and frailties of being human which makes the books readable and in fact downright unput-downable. I find the language slightly foul at times but not any worse than I can hear on the local bus emitted from the mouths of the 7 to 11 year olds from the catholic school. Or in any of the recent movies and comedy shows that are on TV for veiwing. I enjoy the books and am waiting for more money so I can get the rest of them.
Book Review: Enchanting Summary: 5 Stars
The main characters in this series are awesome and just keep getting better. This is the third time I've read Rapture and I still love it.
The plot is solid and the romance is sultry. As with other J.D. Robb books, the suspense and conflict are first rate.
This series of books is addictive. If you haven't read the 'in Death' series, you're denying yourself hours of entertainment and enjoyment. Take the advice I was given, though, and read them in order.
Thank you Ms. Robb!

Book Review: Always a winner! Summary: 5 Stars
I have read most everything Nora Roberts has written, including her Language of Love Series from years ago... I am now reading the JD Robb series featuring Lt. Eve Dallas. WHAT an imagination Roberts has! To imagine the future through her eyes... I love the way Eve and Roarke interact. She is her own person and he loves her for this-never trying to make her something else. And, at the same time, she is able to admit that she needs someone too! I loved Rapture in Death. This is perhaps the best "Death" book so far. The VR Goggles were a trip! The idea of manipulating musical undertones to control a person's behavior... Where does she get her ideas? So believable!
Book Review: Riveting Rapture Summary: 4 Stars
The primaries are back - Eve/Roarke/Peabody/Feeney/Sommerset. This story centers around suicides of unlikely candidates, not connected to one another other than the fact that they took their own lives while being basically happy, fulfilled citizens. Eve needs to find the reason why and the source of the problem - could it have something to do with the fact that virtual reality tours in the year 2058 are more exciting and realistic? Eve and Roarke are just coming back from their honeymoon with no time to rest in between murders. The plot is great as in all "In-Death" books. This was a re-read for me as I am waiting for the next book in the series to be released this Fall. Enjoy.
