Book Reviews of Real Simple: Meals Made Easy (Real Simple S.)Book Review: My Favorite Cookbook! Summary: 5 Stars
I have grown tired of recipes that list way too many ingredients or involve condensed soup. This book is a refreshing change from the ordinary. I have enjoyed all but one recipe from the book (eggs and spaghetti sauce was as gross as it sounded), and I have tried many. There are many refreshing recipes in this book that will yeild great results. I give this book along with his-and-her aprons and a couple of kitchen gadgets off the registry as my standard wedding gift.
Book Review: The magazine is better Summary: 3 Stars
I have to say that overall I was disapointed with the cook book. I have gotten the magazine for over a year and absolutely love the recipe section. I figured this would be a hard cover collection of "the best of the best." But not so. The book is arranged well, and is a great size. I love the simplicity of their recipes and the photos that come with it. But over all I will cook more stuff from the magazine clippings I've collected, than this book.
Book Review: I love this cookbook! Summary: 5 Stars
I am a fan of Real Simple magazine and the publications always include some great recipes, so when I saw that they made a cookbook I was estatic and eager to buy. It is easy to follow and the recipes are great... My favorite section is the One Pot Meals and inparticular the recipe for the Halibut in Parchment Paper. I've made it three times since buying the book.... Oh my God, to die for. This year I am buying this book as gifts for all my friends. :)
Book Review: So far so good! Summary: 4 Stars
I just received this cookbook a few weeks ago and it has really helped me with the day to day dinners. It has some really good recipes and it is layed out in easy to use chapters (such as one pot meals and no shop meals). It has made me a little more creative on those nights when there isn't much time to get a great meal on the table. My kids love the parmesean chicken (so easy) and my hubby is a fan of the shrimp tacos. Definitely worth $14.95.
Book Review: I use this book all the time! Summary: 5 Stars
This cookbook is my all time favorite in my kitchen. In fact, it has inspired me to push myself in trying new recipes. I bought this book a few years back and instantly impressed my guests. I love how you can make the meals ahead and freeze. I recommend this cookbook to anyone that wants to try entertaining or just a good gourmet meal that is easy to make. I'm a fan of the magazine but absolutely love the cookbook.
