Book Reviews of Remember, Be Here NowBook Review: Be Here Now Summary: 5 Stars
I could feel the love radiating from this book. That is how powerful it was for me. Right from the first chapter I was captivated by the fact that the author would be a harvard university prof. and still even more amazed at the great adventure he went through. As I have had many psychodelic experiences myself, I found that I came to the same conclusion as he did about the universe being made up of yin yang , two opposing and paradoxial forces which make one, but I never could quite grasp it in the way that he has. This book is a definate must read for anyone who is somewhat open minded. Or any fellow former/continuing acid tripper.
Book Review: The craziest guidebook to life and spirit ever. Summary: 5 Stars
My spiritual father, who was then my father-in-law, introduced me to Be Here Now. I thought he was crazy and the book even crazier. The next time we visited I picked up the book and took a closer look, ahhh, maybe it wasn't so crazy after all, but not for me. Each time I visited I was drawn to read a bit more of this "far out" book. Over a year later I finished reading it. And then I read it all over again. How wise my father-in-law had been to set me on this path. I am eternally grateful to him and to Ram Dass for their love and guidance. Ram Dass' words ring true. Any one looking for answers would do well to start with Be Here Now

Book Review: this is my Bible. Summary: 5 Stars
Like so many others that have reviewed this book, I too have bought it repeatedly just to end up giving it away to someone. My first encounter with the book was because someone had given it to me. I do recommend buying this book, do it. I read it for the first time about 5 years ago, and a week ago I read the center portion (the trippy part), outloud to my boyfriend for hours while tripping on lsd for the first time. That is when it occurred to me that this is A Bible. A guide to the way It Is.
I plan on buying 20 copies and handing them out at Burning Man this year, that is how life-altering I think this book is. Buy it!
Book Review: spirit /life learning book from the 60's Summary: 5 Stars
Ram Dass (Richard Alpert) did this book right. In a time of soul searching he was an LSD using engineer turned hippie who went to India in search of a Guru. He found a really good one. The book is in 3 parts. The first is Ram Dass's egocentric story of his prespirit life. You can tell the the middle part, the path, was not his by the contrast. The Path is a great explaination of the Hindu world. The third part is a how to and where to go section. I loved this book and gave several as gifts. His future books are not as good and to me even go down from one to the next. He definately shanneled inspiration and tried to reproduce it.
