Book Reviews of Remember Me?

Book Review: Lame
Summary: 1 Stars

Interesting plot idea, but poorly executed.

(SPOILER)

I hoped that her first fall had triggered a personality change which explained the life she woke up to, and the fact that all her old friends hated her.

But instead we were given a very weak reason why she became a total jerk to friends that she had had for years.

None of the characters evoked any liking, empathy or sympathy (not unlike her horrid shopaholic series)

Book Review: A fast read for the beach, lazy day or the unemployed.
Summary: 2 Stars

The story line was trite and sophomoric. When it is appropriate to the character and plot I am not averse to reading curse words in books. However I found the author's over use of dropping "F-Bombs" off putting. It made me cringe to see it used so often. (Besides, there are some great curse words that don't employ the use of F-word.) I found the characters of Fi and Amy to be the most appealing. The scene where Amy is found to be "knicking" stuff from Lexi's home to be very funny.

Book Review: loved it!
Summary: 5 Stars

I absolutely adored this book and read it over and over again when I first purchased it. I'll admit I had low expectations but it is smart and quirky. There were a lot of moments where it made me "squee!"

The amenesia storyline is just the kick the standard love story needs. I thought Lexi was really relatable and Kinsella does a great job of describing each unique character without getting too long-winded. I only she had more description of Jon in it! :)

Book Review: Not as good as I thought it would be
Summary: 3 Stars

After reading a couple of very serious books I was looking for something light and fun to cheer me up and was recommended this Sophie Kinsella's book. I've never read any of her works and didn't expect too much. However I have to admit, I was a little disappointed. It was an easy and fast read, mostly entertaining, but not very funny or original. Nevertheless I did somewhat enjoy the book and will give SK another chance. Maybe her Shopaholic series is better?

Book Review: Soap Opera Book
Summary: 3 Stars

Reviewers said, "funny" "inspiring" and "romantic" yet I felt as though I was reading a soap opera. I knew what was going to happen before it did happen, expected the outcome and finished the book uninspired and looking for a Days of Our Lives episode.

If you want fluff to forget your woes, read the book (or watch Samantha Who) but if you are looking for spark, romance, and a little tear jerk action, look elsewhere.
