Book Reviews of Remember Me?Book Review: Unfortunately disappointing Summary: 2 Stars
I was disappointed with this, especially after hearing such good reviews! It was not the writing but the actual story and characters. I found Lexi's family and friends' scathing reactions to her amnesia unrelatable and uncomfortable to read. Pages and pages of insensitivity and ridiculous situations. I liked Kinsella's Shopaholic series, this one just did not do it for me, it wasn't enjoyable. I couldn't even finish!
Book Review: Fun & fast read, but predictable Summary: 4 Stars
I read all of Sophie Kinsella's Shopaholic series and the UNDOMESTIC GODDESS and I would have to say that this book runs along the lines of these other books. These are fast and fun reads. The plot is easy to follow and is rather predictable, but if you're looking for a fun and light reading book with a happy ending, I highly recommend this book (along with Ms. Kinsella's other books). I thoroughly enjoyed it!
Book Review: Not as good as the others Summary: 3 Stars
The character is not as likeable as Kinsella's others so I had a hard time attaching to her. The book is just not as entertaining as Can You Keep a Secret? or the Shopaholic books. I was turned off in the first chapter when the mother calls someone "retarded". I admit that as a mother of a daughter with Down Syndrome, I'm very sensitive about hearing others use this word as a synonym for "stupid"
Book Review: Quick Read, loved it Summary: 5 Stars
Love all of Sophie Kinsella's books and this was no exception. Loved the character of Lexi and her story. Though the story was overall a bit unbelievable, some parts were hilarious, especially everything to do w/Lexi's husband Eric. I laughed every time the "marriage manual" was consulted. I wish Sophie Kinsella had more books out there because I've read them all and can't wait for the next one!
Book Review: Kinsella ALWAYS Delivers Summary: 5 Stars
I absolutely love Sophie Kinsella's work and I was thrilled to read "Remember Me?" recently. Like all of Kinsella's main characters, Lexie will pull you into her world and you'll feel like you're right there with her as she tries to remember everything that she's forgotten as a result of her amnesia. The situations are hilarious just like those of Kinsella's other main characters in other books.
