Book Review: SO disappointed

I adore Miss Frank's books & have read every single one of them. It hurts me to say this one totally stunk. First of all, the characters changed drastically from when we first met them in the earlier book and the story was just lame. If I didn't have a personal pledge that I finish every book I start, I would have put this one down. The twist at the end with the twin aunt was just plain sick and pointless. Is she using a ghostwriter??????Book Review: This one was such a letdown!

I love Dorothea Benton Frank's books, but this one was such a letdown. The story dragged on and on. Also, the characters were, well, not interesting. This is first book of hers, and I have read them all, that I looked forward to finishing. I hope this is just a one time deal and look forward to future books by Mrs. Frank. Unfortunately, I would say do not buy this one. She has too many other great books that are worth the time and money.Book Review: Please save your time and money!

I have enjoyed all of Benton Frank's books and am unhappy to report that this one seems to have been written because she needed money quickly! The plot was so badly developed with characters so utterly irritating. Couldn't more time and effort been given to grieving over the BELOVED aunt's corpse found in the freezer?! Let's keep our fingers crossed that Ms. Benton Frank spends a lot more time on her next book.Book Review: Return to Sullivans Island

First read Sullivans Island then went looking for more finished third of hers Plantation OH my I start one of her books people around me lucky to get dinner can't lay it down.. Good family stories so real......She will be one I will read everything she has wrote then can hardly wait for the new ones. Dorothea has outdone herself yet again! What a great beach book...I read this book in 2 days and couldn't put it down! The plot was wonderful and kept me wanting to know what was going to happen next and I loved all the characters, especially Cecily! I have read all of her books and plan to read anymore she may write in the future! Thanks for writing about the Lowcountry all of us love so much!
