Book Reviews of Robert Ludlum's (TM) The Bourne Betrayal

Book Review: Overextension of the franchise
Summary: 1 Stars

This is another one of those "terrorism thrillers" with too many plots and counterplots. It just doesn't work. Nobody on any side seems to be able to make a simple plan and stick to it. The whole thing is just too contrived.

Lustbader's license for this franchise should be revoked. This is worse than those awful outsourced Tom Clancy-branded books of a few years ago.

Book Review: Ho-Hum Yawn, etc
Summary: 1 Stars

Boring! Wow, Lustbader has done it again, he out me right to sleep. After getting years of enjoyment out of Ludlum's (and I truly emphisize LUDLUM) character, Bourne, I cannot say that this novel was enjoyable.
Bourne as a character is NOT the sissy that Lustbader has turned him in to.
Another pathetic attempt.
THe Ludlum estate ought to sue.

Book Review: Wish I would have read the reviews...
Summary: 1 Stars

I wish I would have read the reviews BEFORE I purchased this book in paperback. I read many books a year and this one just isn't keeping my interest at all.

This is my first Van Lustbader (I actually didn't realize it wasn't actually written by Robert Ludlum until I read the reviews).

Extremely disappointing. Just plain boring.

Book Review: Very good read!
Summary: 4 Stars

The Bourne Betrayal is action-packed with a contemporary setting. This novel was picked to help pass time while flying for a vacation. Once the book was begun, it was hard to put down. It was felt that the image of Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) fit in to this story very easily. It is heartily recommended, if one likes action and a believable and riviting plot.

Book Review: Jason Bourne Lives...
Summary: 4 Stars

This is a continuing great read by Eric Van Lustbader, who is doing an excellent job of keeping the Bourne story alive. Jason Bourne is definately the "007" of the 21st century. The story line is interesting, with well written scenes and colorful characters. Action packed must read. Can't wait to see this one on the big screen!
