Book Reviews of RunBook Review: Great character development Summary: 5 Stars
This is the story of two families who first come together during an accident in which a woman intentionally throws herself in front of a car to save the life of a "stranger." It shows the power and commitment of parental love, whether by birth or adoption. Great character development.
Book Review: All in 24 hours Summary: 5 Stars
Since I loved Bel Canto I thought I'd give this Ann Patchett novel a try too. I'm glad I did. The story takes place over a 24 hr period and it didn't take me much longer to read it since I was hooked right away and couldn't put down.
Book Review: the best Summary: 5 Stars
Ann Patchett is an extraordinary writer, and "Run" is an incredible book. I read it quickly once, because the story was engrossing, and then slowly the second time, to savour the writing. I've given to several friends and relatives.
Book Review: Run Summary: 5 Stars
Fast paced and engrossing from the first page. Beautifully and sensitively written novel about families and the decisions made to benefit and/or protect family. Interesting and realistic characters.
Book Review: Great quick read Summary: 5 Stars
This was a selection from my book club and I thought it was a great book. Well written with a lot of details and everything came together at the end. I would recommend this book for any book club.
