Apparently, it's been a while since anyone left feedback regarding S Is For Silence, but after reading two-page views, neutral to negative responses, I feel Ms. Grafton is being pounced on for either PI'ing outside Santa Teresa or writing a story, future, to past, to future.
S was the first novel that turned me on to Kinsey, or rather, Sue Grafton. I found her style intriguing and down-to-earth.
Next thing I knew, I searched Amazon and found a seller that had books A-S, purchasing the entire shabang. After all, S is book 19, 18 others needed reading. It's important familiarlizing oneself with all characters, the only way to accomplish this was starting with Book A.
Other than, I believe, M is for Murder, (nonsense ending) so far so good.
