Book Reviews of Sandworms of Dune

Book Review: It's not that bad
Summary: 4 Stars

when I got 20 pages into House Harkonen after sitting through the House Atreides on Tape during a really long drive, I threw it in the trash becasue it read more like fan fiction than something from Frank Herbert's Universe.

But After reading all the original Dune books, I couldn't resist Hunters of Dune. Wich I thought was alright, so I went and read the Butlerian Jihad Books, Wich were entertaining. So Now that I finished Sandworms of Dune, I can honestly say, It's not Frank Herbert But it is a fun read, and you get to see alot of your favorite charcters again. So to me that was worth it. and I think it does tie everything up nicely.

I also change shape.

Book Review: Dune has become a sad addiction
Summary: 2 Stars

So, Dune could be my favorite sci-fi book and I'm a dedicated Dune reader. Which means that even though I have learned that anything written by Brian Herbert and Kevin J Anderson isn't going to be quite to par, I pick it up anyway. This hadn't been a real issue until recently. Well, this book was actually disappointing. It was just bad. Writing, story, characters- just bad. But the wrost part is I know they are going to put out another book and I'm going to read it too! Boys, its time to leave the series be- Let daddy Herbet have a little peace in the after life, seriously. And next time you two write something, for my sake don't try to slip it into the dune series.

Book Review: The Dunes Creep
Summary: 3 Stars

Afer awhile, the story begins to drag and tries to throw everything in but the kitchen sink. Frank Herbert's Dune (The original Novel) was so much more than the sum of all its parts. Here, the story meanders aimlessly onward, trying to serve up a big whopping finale, trying to appease those fans whose imagination have gone lacking. The finesse of government, religion, industry, Machiavelli intrigues and the slavish addiction to a rare commodity has never been equaled or surpassed. Sooner or later, all things end. it is time to let go before this series is ran into the ground.

Book Review: crapworms of dukie
Summary: 1 Stars

I don't think I've ever read a book that made me as angry as this one did. I got viscerally upset at the *conclusion* to the Dune Saga, it felt cheap and hastily done, with little or no respect to long time fans of the series.

It is definitely not up to par with their previous works, and understandably falls into the shadow of the literary genius of Frank Herbert.

I would not recommend this book to anyone to be completely honest. Not even a shipwrecked sailor with nothing else to read besides the label from a can of baked beans.

Book Review: I really wanted to like this...
Summary: 1 Stars

...but it just sucked. I have read the original Dune series many times and I so hoped for an ending...unfortunately I got the monkeys paw, I got what I wanted but not the way I wanted it. In this case, I got an ending but it was the worst ending for a series I have ever read...and that is saying alot. Yes I know they are not Frank, but anyone would have been a better choice as a writer. It just makes me a little bit sad that his son couldn't come up with a better ending or hell a better writing partner.
