Book Review: Great but not perfect
Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great but not perfect survival guide. Read Mr. Driscoll's review I did and checked out his statements and found Mr Driscoll to be correct. However this is one of the best all around guides I have read. So far I have 10 wilderness survival guides in my library but this is about the best. If you can't attend a school with instructors to teach you, get some specialized instruction books. I would suggest at the very least this book and "Primitive Wilderness Living & Survival Skills" by John & Geri McPherson, "The Trappers Bible" by Dale Martin, "The everything Knots Book" by Randy Penn, and The Illustrated Guide To "Edible Wild Plants" by Department Of The Army and if you can some of the Ron Hood videos (he's real good). But this is a very good book you should read. I know a lot of the skills taught here you have read before, some you have not but you will gain more insight if you read different ways of explaining skills by different people. Just remember there is no animal as the perfect survival guide that will teach you everything you need to know but this book is a very good start, just keep going and don't stop with just this one book.
