Book Reviews of Say GoodbyeBook Review: Wow Summary: 5 Stars
This is truly a tough read and I mean that in a chilling sense. I had to close my eyes at the bad parts. I could not put the book down but as other reviews some of it was so hard to read. It did remind me of the movie "I know my first name is Steven". You definately have to be able to handle the abuse in the book...and yes I slept with the lights on for a couple of days and hugged my kids a little tighter each night, but I am amazed at the author to write such a chilling book. I was not wild about the end of the book, I must say I was hoping for more. I gave it 5 stars for terror factor.
Book Review: A Disturbing Journey Summary: 3 Stars
This is a suspenseful read with a very good twist near the end but the flashbacks are truly disturbing. I know that there are people in the world who do the things described in this book but I read to escape those things not to see them as plot points. I think they would have worked better if the bad guy suffered more. I'm a fan of Lisa Gardner's romances but there's a coldness to this book that left me wishing I hadn't picked it up. It's a good book for fans of James Patterson style murder mysteries. I thought the use of spiders was a truly horrifying touch in the book.
Book Review: This story latches on and won't let you go! Summary: 5 Stars
I listened to the audio CD of this story. I agree with some readers, it has a paragraph or two that are rough but extrememly effective. This is a dark thriller. I had to wait awhile before I typed this review. The story left me thinking for a long time and had an emotional impact on my psyche. L.G. has to be commended for this plot/story line. It is top notch writing. The narrators are among the best. I loved the voices. My favorite part was the Burger Man's narration and the best of the best was the ending.

yes it was disturbing and i had to stop reading 3 times but in the end when the last boy was saved and the MONSTER was killed i was glad i also wanted to kill him myself.somtimes i wake up at night and take a stroll through the house just to be sure and i call my sisters to make sure they are ok. i read The Neighbor first and was disturbed with the husband now i understand him. The Neighbor isn't as disturbing. if nothing else my eyes are wide open and i will keep my children close
Book Review: A Dark Thriller Summary: 3 Stars
I found Say Goodbye a tough book to read. A vile killer is murdering prostitutes, and it is up to the novel's main character, FBI agent Kimberly Quincy to track him down. There are some serious scenes of abuse in this book, that made it so difficult to read,in parts. Overall, though the storyline is fairly interesting, as Kimberly gradually puts together the pieces of the case. It will take me a while to get this book out of my system.
