Book Reviews of Serge With ConfidenceBook Review: Serge with confidence Summary: 4 Stars
This book is very informative. Nancy gives info on specific machines. For instance Pfaff is very creative with decorative threads and a number of cover stitches. Other machine are mentioned. Having recently purchased an Evolve, the section on the specialty feet is very useful to me. There is a lot of info and many useful tips. The projects suggested are very well
explained.
Book Review: A must have if you own a serger Summary: 5 Stars
This book was recommended to me by an instructor and boy, was she right! It offers owners of sergers a variety of project ideas and applications, as well as explaining when and how to use some of the many serger stitches now available on more advanced machines. If you have a 4+ thread serger, this is a good book for you.
Book Review: Good ideas and great help! Summary: 5 Stars
My husband purchased a Babylock Evolve Serger for me and I felt this book would really help me with both ideas on making and decorating items I've sewn and information on how to do so. I haven't been disappointed. It is well illustrated and the directions are complete and clear. Another great help from Nancy Zieman!
Book Review: Serge With Confidence Summary: 5 Stars
I would highly recommend this book to anyone who has just purchased or has just begun using a serger. Especially helpful are the detailed pages indicating specific settings needed for different types of stitching. This will become a constant companion at the serger while I am learning "the ropes"...
Book Review: serger information Summary: 3 Stars
Nancy always does a great job of explaining technique. My problem with this book is that a lot of information is offered about cover and chain stitch which is not available on all machines. Most average sergers cannot accomplish these techniques or projects.
