Book Reviews of Sex and Candy: 22 Succulent StoriesBook Review: Rachel Kramer Bussel Never Disappoints Summary: 5 Stars
I adore Rachel Kramer Bussel. Seriously, she can do no wrong, in my opinion. "Sex & Candy: 22 Succulent Stories" is the latest in a long line of seXXXy anthologies selected and edited by the lovely and (quite) sexy Ms. Kramer Bussel. There are some truly hot stories in this book -- some that changed the way I look at candy forever. I guarantee you will blush the next time you eat a Magnolia Bakery cupcake (if you are lucky enough to be in NYC) after reading Stan Kent's *Cupcake.* And Donna George Storey's seductive *Six Layers of Sweetness* made me lust for some delicately layered Venetian cookies. Other not-to-be-missed stories: Jen Dziura's *The Fat Box* (makes "fat" a sweet-sounding word), Sage Vivant's *Two Scoops of Gelato* (two words: Gelato threesome), and Bianca James' *Green Chili Chocolate* (spicy!).
What's next from the mind of Rachel Kramer Bussel? Whatever it is, I know I'll be reading it!
Book Review: Sweet confections and sizzling connections Summary: 5 Stars
As when trying to make a selection in the proverbial candy store, it's hard to know where to begin in praising the delicacies laid out in the showcase called Sex & Candy. But unlike in the candy-store scenario, there's no reason you can't taste, savor, and ultimately eat up every last bit. (Then you can even do it again--how cool that sexy stories don't disappear when you gobble them up!) Among the unique erotic treats in store for you are Donna George Storey's literally seductive Venetian cookies; SekouWrites' ice cream adventure that's not on the menu; Catherine Lundoff's recipe for voice-and-chocolate synergy; Jolene Hui's out-of-control cupcake batter; Shanna Germain's tiramisu of sexual tension; and a tale of winter-crystallized sweetness from Sacchi Green. Dig in!
Book Review: unrefined sugar Summary: 5 Stars
sweeeeeet. ok, that sounds like stoner-talk, but seriously, take it from this savvy, well-read, well-versed woman, this book is fantastic. the table of contents alone makes for a great story. my personal favorites are jen dziura's "the fat box" (take that, jenny craig) and the editor herself's "sugar mama" (can i get one of those?) which exemplify the whole book's combination of cuteness, humor, and serious sex appeal. for sweet lovers and even those of you who like your sugar *unrefined*, check this hotness out!
Book Review: RKB does it again! Summary: 4 Stars
Sex & Candy is unbelievably Juicy HOT. From Shar Rednour's foreword to the last dirty story, Stan Kent's, Cupcake. All the stories in this nasty book made me scream I WANT TO TRY THAT! And like all of RKB's books it also left me wanting more.
So if you are a sex & candy addict, this book, in its entire succulent splendor, is for you. Believe me, you'll be craving sex & candy again and again. & here's hoping you're craving is never satisfied.
Book Review: Sweet! Summary: 5 Stars
This collection reminded me of an old bit from "Friends."
Ross: I honestly don't know if I'm hungry or horny.
Chandler: Stay away from my refrigerator.
With a variety of 22 erotic stories "Sex and Candy" has something for every taste, with lots of sugar and just enough spice. It's an excellent book for a couple to share, to spark an interlude of indulgence.
Yum!
