I bought this book used just to check it out because I liked the show and I need to be healthier! The book is great and you will not be hungry if you eat daily what she suggests. My favorite is the mango peach smoothie!!! It is time intensive. Every night I make my lunch for the following day and partially prepair my dinner so it takes less time when I get home in the eve. It's only been 2 weeks and well grocery's can be expensive because I've been going to the health food store but I feel better!!! It has curbed my sweet cravings!! I dont care if she is a dr or not this beek has helped me make better choices.
Book Review: Great book!!! Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great book. She really gives you a healthy diet and motivates you to eat well. It is difficult to find all of the ingredients, but you make do. I had to substitute some of the beans. You can eat as much as you want of the right food. So if your hungry afterwards, you can eat more salad, fruit, etc. The first two days were hard, but after that, I felt great. I was not hungry, and I felt very healthy. I have already lost a few inches and pounds. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to get healthy. This is not a book for someone looking for a quick weigh loss fad diet.
Book Review: too much fruit in the morning, not enough vegan dinner recipes Summary: 3 Stars
First off... I'm a fan of Dr. Gillian McKeith, and I love watching her TV show. I like the book, but gave it three stars because the huge amount of fruit she suggests in the morning sends my blood sugar skyrocketing, I don't like the taste of the herbal drinks she recommends, and I'd like to see more vegan dinner recipes. What I like about this book is that the plan is explained well, and there are many recipes that are different, interesting, and easy to make. So I think for most people the book would be great, it just doesn't work in its entirety for me.

I like the Dr. Gillian McKeith's books. She has very practical ideas. Her program is quite detailed and uncomplicated. "You have to do it my way to the letter of my law. To repeat: it's my way or the highway. Easy." - she writes before introducing us to her ultimate health plan. And she is right. If you follow her wise and professionally organized guidance, it is impossible not to succeed. I find every page of her book useful. Reading her book is like actually working with her face-to-face. In two sentences: it is my cup of tea. Exactly what I wanted.
Book Review: Impressed with the book Summary: 4 Stars
I was very impressed with this book and happy that I bought it. I was recently put on a restrictive diet and this book fit perfectly. The directions were spelled out on what to do and how to do it and that is exactly what I needed!! Loved it. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because some of the ingredients have been tough to find in my local supermarket. I would still recommend this book if you are looking to get healthy and try a new way of eating.
