Book Review: Great Ideas!

I absolutely love the concept and ideas in this book. If you aren't afraid to splurge once in a while, but don't want a whole batch of "splurge" in the house, this is for you. You put a lot of work into these things and get just the right amount. The red velvet cupcakes and fudgy brownies turned out great for me.
Just like everyone, I do enjoy cookbooks with lots of color pictures though, and wish the author had the budget to do this. I hesitated to buy it for this reason, but love the ideas just so much that I did anyway.
After reading this book, I found myself wishing that more books would be made with a similar concept. It seems difficult to do all the portion fractioning (and how long does it cook? and at what temperature?) yourself, so I wish more authors would publish books like these.
