It holds the ink really well, and I like the magnetic flap that holds all my thoughts securely inside the hard covers. I have had journals in the past but not as good as this one. If you like to write like I do: poetry, short stories, or you just want to jot down your thoughts; you will enjoy writing them down in this. It has an old antique feel to it with the design covers and the crisp, smooth, ivory white pages are guaranteed to hold any ink that suites you. I loved the journal. It has a very classy exterior and it's made with good quality acid-free paper. The inside pocket allows me to keep important papers, although you can only put paper inside. I tried putting something thicker and the journal wouldn't close.Book Review: Very pretty!
