I've always been interested in photography, and just recently bought the Sony A200 DSLR camera. I'm a total beginner, so I don't have anything else to compare this book too, but after reading the reviews posted here by more experienced photographers I decided to give it a read.
I am very pleased with this guide, it is layed out in a clear, easy to use format, and definitely helps you learn this camera's functions better than the camera manual. There are even a few tips about composition that have already been helpful for me.
I gave this item a 4 only because I'm not the most qualified on the subject, but I think it is a great resource and if you have this camera it will help you to quickly learn all of the functions your camera is capable of, and how to use them. Like the author says, this is a field guide, and is perfect to bring along when you're shooting. Hope this helps,
