Book Review: The best cleaning book ever!
Summary: 5 Stars
Yes, this book is old, but dirt hasn't changed! An excellent book, teaching all the basics of cleaning. I just got rid of 2 boxes of cleaning and organizing books but kept this one and "Clutter Control" and "Spring Cleaning." This book is told from the perspective of a professional cleaner and he is good! I'd love for him to clean my house! I've incorporated alot of his ideas, like the apron and specific supplies. (I use a gardening apron and gardening bag, they're waterproof and have pockets.) He has a list of supplies that helped me get rid of redundant products that were cluttering my house. I especially liked the advice on where to start in a room and time saving tips. Professional cleaners have to be time efficient! He also included a section on "Environmental Impacts of Household Cleaners" with alternative products you can make yourself. Great for anyone wanting to clean "green." Jeff Campbell was ahead of his time! I would recommend this book to anyone.Book Review: Great Cleaning Ideas... Wonderful Products!

When I purchased this book two years ago, I glanced through it and promptly gave it to my sister. It seemed to require far more energy than I cared to invest in cleaning... energy which I knew she possessed. After watching my sister use the book's ideas and products to make her life easier and keep her house cleaner, I bought another copy of the book for myself. I certainly won't use all of the ideas in the book... I still don't care to invest that much energy in housecleaning. However, I will use many of the ideas because they really do require less work to do a better job. And the products and product suggestions are wonderful! I don't spend more time housecleaning than I have in the past, but my home has clearly benefited from implementing the cleaning techniques recommended in this book. Based on my experience with this book, I'm going to read Jeff Campbell's book on keeping your possessions as good as new.Book Review: I LOVE this book!

Although I like a neat, orderly house, I'd never considered myself a good housekeeper and had had housekeepers for the past 15 years. The last one made me so angry one day, I fired her with out having a replacement lined up. I'd heard of Speed Cleaning so went right out & bought this book. This book really has taught me how to clean a house thoroughly and efficiently. During the seven months since firing the last housekeeper, my house has been MUCH cleaner than when I had housekeepers! My husband & I say the sparkle has returned. I also now feel proud to think that I am now a good housekeeper & don't have to rely upon others. I've since purchased the other four books and have been working on cleaning up & organizing the closets - but then that's ANOTHER story!Book Review: Move-in Helper!

I purchased this book (as well as Spring Cleaning and Clutter Control) to help prepare my new home for move-in. What a lifesaver it was. The home I moved into was completely renovated, so an overhaul was unnecessary (I highly recommend Spring Cleaning for that). Speed Cleaning allowed me to go in and completely clean the home from ceiling to floor in no time at all. The author is very honest about his system - it's his way or the highway. I was okay with that, because I found he was able to more efficiently clean a home in less time than I had ever done. It really works! I did purchase some cleaning products from his online co., which I have found to be superior to anything found in the grocery store - and I love not having 20 different cleansers. I used to think house-cleaning is a never-ending job with a husband, two kids, a dog and a bird...the living room today, the bathrooms tomorrow, the bedrooms the day after tomorrow, the kitchen the following day... Then this book came along. WOW! I could not believe how efficiently and effectively the entire house can be cleaned! I wholeheartedly thank the author for sharing the method he developed over the years of experience. I always liked a clean house, and tried my best, but my house never looked like the house you see in interior magazines. But now, thanks to his tips, yes, my house does look sparklling clean, and I am actually excited about cleaning the house!
