If you are just learning to knit i don't recommend this book to you. that is unless you have an experienced knitter at your side to explain some things. These are quick and easy projects and very well laid out. If you know how to read a pattern then it's easy to understand the instructions. Most of the projects are beautiful and elegant looking although there are some that i wish hadn't been included in the book because i could find better looking ones on line. The first sweater pattern i tried was the cute ballet sweater in this book and i wasn't experienced enough to check gauge and such. it also didn't help that i was making it for someone else and didn't have their measurements. But that's my problem not the books.
