I purchased this book for my nephew who just turned 7. He had recently seen his first Star Wars movie and seemed to enjoy it. When he opened this book, he was excited, but no where near as excited as when he turned the first page and saw what it contained. He was mesmerized, not only by the pop ups, but by the pictures and the stories behind each item. This is the ultimate Star Wars bible. If you love Star Wars, you have to have this item. The item I thought he would like the best were the light up sabers, and he did. The most amazing part was that the battery power to the sabers could be turned off so that you didn't waste it!!!! How thoughtful. Too bad there aren't more books of this caliber on other subjects.Book Review: Perfect For Stars Wars Fans Of All Ages!!!!

For my grandson's 6th birthday, I bought the Star Wars: A Pop-Up Guide to the Galaxy. He knows the names of all the Star War figures and can play for hours interacting with the various characters. He has several different colored light savers. When I saw this book was a pop-up with lighted savers, I couldn't resist. When my grandson opened this present, he screamed with delight, and immediately began looking through the book. When he saw the light savers light up, he was so thrilled! He ignored his other presents, so enthralling was this book! He kept saying, "I love it, Grandma . . .I just love it! Star Wars: A Pop-Up Guide to the Galaxy
I bought two copies of this book as Christmas presents for my sons, ages 45 and 36. They were huge Star Wars fans in their younger years. The younger son is on deployment in Saudi Arabia and has already received his Christmas gifts from us. He raved about the book, read it in one sitting, and said it was a real trip down memory lane. He can't wait to get home and read it again with his four children. So a spur-of-the-moment purchase turned out to be a winner! Now, what will the 45 year old think?

We got this for our 6 1/2 year old son for Christmas. It is, by far, his most treasured Christmas gift. He asked his teacher if he could bring it to school for show and tell his very first day back at school after Christmas break. This book is pretty incredible. So much detail, so much to look at and take in. Lots of text (informative- detailing characters, places, and ships- not a story) and tons of characters. Oh, and let's not forget the lightsabers that actually light up! Truly a masterpiece. That being said, I don't think I would give this book to anyone under the age of 6, as it is very fragile and should be handled with great care.
