Book Review: don't waste your money!!!

In theory, this is a good book - in practicality, it is worthless. We went through this book with 3 families including 3 adults who had all sewn before. We made a number of projects from this book and had many, many problems. We had to make many adjustments in the instructions - sometimes things were left out, other times, they didn't explain things well at all. The pajama top we made didn't fit over anyone's head (we used 100% cotton because that is what we like for pjs). In order to make it work, you have to use stretch fabric which was never mentioned in the instructions. (I could go on & on about ALL the problems we had.) We have never used the book since that time. We have found many, many patterns to be better than this book i.e. we use the Kwik-Sew pajama pattern. Thankfully all the problems with this our first sewing book didn't discourage my kids as they are all now phenomenal sewers.
