Book Reviews of Strength Training Anatomy - 2nd EditionBook Review: First rate Summary: 5 Stars
Strength Training Anatomy is perfect for any conditioning coach working with athletes at any level, as it provides clear visuals of the specific muscles being worked, and also describes with cautions, exercises to enhance those particular muscles. We use the visuals to show our athletes in hockey, soccer and track and field what we are focusing on with each exercise and find that this helps the athlete to become much more in tune and serious about concentrating and being specific. Perfect to show an athlete with an injury exactly what has happened and where, and what we have to do to work around the injury or to provide rehabilitation.

Book Review: A Fantastic Reference Into the World of Strength Training Summary: 5 Stars
I just ordered this book of Amazon and already received it. This is definatly the best Strength Training book published. It shows 100s of workouts for all parts of your body including your arms, legs, buttocks, back, chest, abdomen, and shoulders. Now, I am 13 years old and I am currently lifting weights, so since Im younger than most guys, I like to make sure I know what Im doing so I dont hurt myself, and this book gives me it all. It tells me how to do workouts, different ways of doing them, what muscles it mainly works, and it even informs you on possible injuries.
I recommend this to anyone intrested in getting a Strength Training book
Book Review: New Second Edition Even More Helpful! Summary: 5 Stars
I have the original first edition of this title, and I continue to refer to it for fun and inspiration. This second edition, however, has a few extra pages on common sports injuries associated with the various body parts worked, which is excellent. Unfortunately, everything is done is an "overview" manner so further details will require reference to another text. However, as the introductory book to strength training and weight-lifting that this is clearly intended to be, it is quite excellent, and now all the more so by giving some attention to the topic of sports injuries. They should hand copies of this book out at every gym!!
Book Review: An A+ Strength Training Book Summary: 5 Stars
This book is an excellent resource on what exercises to use to train certain muscle groups. The detailed illustrations are in color and provide the strength athelete with so much informaion that it's like having a personal trainer guide you. This book also includes detailed information on training injuries and preventative measures. If you are new to strength training or an experienced trainer you will find this book an excellent resource. I have it in my library and often refer to it when creating new exercise routines. If you are planning to set New Year goals for 2007 then buy this book as it will guide you in your fitness goals.
Book Review: The ultimate strength training guide! Summary: 5 Stars
Put quite simply, this is the bible of strength training! I have the women's version of this book (lower body) and finally decided to buy this general one so that I could refresh my knowledge of the proper technique for key upper body strength training exercises. I love the way this book shows the pictures of muscles involved and the proper/improper way to do the exercises. It also explains the why and why not of the exercises. If you are serious about your strength training and want to know how to do it right, get this book. I hope that Mr. Delavier will someday publish an even larger version of this with more exercises.
