Book Reviews of Sundays at Tiffany's

Book Review: Lighten up! I loved this story!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this in CD format was loved the voices rendered to the story telling of this sweet story. I liked it so much that I'm ordering a hardback for my library and passing on the CD to my friend. Of course it's a fantasy, but so is Star Wars and Indiana Jones..... I liked them also. I loved the characters in this story... you have to have a good group to make a story work and with Jane, Michael, Jane's looser boyfriend, and her mother, there-in sits the grouping for a great cast of dysfunctionals. How will they pull it together? I couldn't wait each day to get in my car to "read" a bit more of James Patterson's newest book. I am really shocked by some of the negative reviews. I truly loved "Sundays at Tiffany's" and give it my highest rating and recommendation. Please give it a chance and I think you will be pleasantly pleased. JMHO //(*_*)\\

Book Review: Are you all kidding? It's about time someone wrote an original love story with a twist!
Summary: 5 Stars

I loved this book. What a great idea! It was so sweet, the main character is loveable and you can't help but to cheer her on when she finally begins to realize her self-worth. I actually caught myself saying things out loud while I was reading! (I have a psychiatry appointment on Monday) It is a touching story with an original premise. The characters are very believable. After all folks this is a "fictional" piece of literature, not a biographical piece. If you can't believe in your fictional story lines, what's next - telling us that Santa and the Easter Bunny are fakes too? Great story, quick and light read. This is a wonderful companion for beach or poolside reading. If you have read any of Patterson's other love stories, like Suzanne's letters to Nicholas or Sam's letters to Jennifer, you will also enjoy this book

Book Review: LOVELY STORY
Summary: 4 Stars

I HAVE NO IDEA WHY EVERYONE IS GIVING A LOW RATING. IT WAS AN ENJOYABLE STORY. CUTE, FUNNY, SAD, AND HAPPY. KIND OF REMINDS ME OF THE SOFTER SIDE OF 'DROP DEAD FRED' THERE ARE TOO MANY JUDGEMENTAL PEOPLE OUT THERE. REALLY, I'VE NEVER READ ANY OF THIS AUTHOR'S BOOKS BEFORE, AND PICKED THIS ONE UP AND WAS HAPPY I DID. YEAH, I WISH THE PRICE WAS LOWER BUT HEY ITS HARD BACK RIGHT. I REALLY LIKE IT, IT COULD HAVE HAD A LITTLE MORE DETAILS AND EXPLAINATIONS, BUT WHO HAS ALL THE ANSWERS, THE MYSTERY OF NOT KNOWING IS POSSIBLE. WHAT WAS MICHAEL, HE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, REALLY? DO YOU KNOW WHY YOU ARE HERE REALLY? NOT EVERYTHING HAS TO BE EXPLAINED. I READ IT IN 3 HOURS, AND RECOMMENDED IT TO SEVERAL PEOPLE IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS. IT'S A GOOD BOOK IF YOU'RE IFFY FINE, CHECK IT OUT AT LIBRARY FIRST. IT'S WORTH A READ.

Book Review: A Fairytale About a Poor Little Rich Girl
Summary: 3 Stars

The foundation of the story sounds very promising.

Jane, poor little rich girl has an imaginary friend as a young girl; her imaginary friend leaves her as she turns the ripe old age of nine - but she never forgot him. As a grown up, Jane is now a poor big rich girl cowering under her mother's shadow and acting as a doormat for her jerk of a boyfriend until she meets her long lost imaginary friend.
Is she crazy?
Is he an angel?
You'll have to find out for yourself.

This isn't a great work of fiction, the adjectives are numerous and sprinkled around generously - but it's a fun, cheesy and quick read, albeit corny and predictable with a "Star Trek" type ending (everything gets wrapped up in the last few pages).

But sometime you just need one of those.

Book Review: A Fairy Tale for Grown Ups-Loved It!
Summary: 4 Stars

Like others, I was concerned that the premise of this book might be a little tough to buy into but if you keep in mind that it is, after all, FICTION, it is a great read! I really connected with the main character, Jane. She is funny and easy to relate to. I also enjoyed Michael though wish his character had more answers to the predicament they were in. It seems that what ever question Jane threw at him his answer was "I honestly don't know, Jane." And as much as I enjoyed this book, I found this constant reply really annoying.
To sum it all up: it's a beautiful love story, perhaps a little predictable (especially if you read a lot). I think that if Mr. Patterson had been able to come up with a better explanation of the evolution of Michael, the book would have been less predictable though.
