I bought this and looked at several others when I first became interested in Middle Eastern cooking. The author does a very nice job of introducing the basic flavors, cooking techniques and ingredients used in tagines. This slim book is full of easy recipes that don't need a lot of fiddly prepearation nor several exotic ingedients. The food is wonderfully tasty, and not overpoweringly spicey unless you make it so. What an awesome little book!I use my Tunisian LeSouk Tagine more than ever now and it's a great gift for friends who are new to slow or mediterranian cooking. For a relatively small book, I find its format as savory as the dishes within its cover!Book Review: That's it?

I can't attest to the quality of all the recipes but I can say there should be a lot more of them!
I tried one recipe and it turned out great...but I just wish there was more to the book.
Oh well.
