Book Reviews of Tear SoupBook Review: Best book for those who are grieving the loss of a loved one Summary: 5 Stars
December 8, My daughter Janna was killed in Omaha by a snow plow in her own apartment parking lot. This story went coast to coast on TV. The story you did not see was the devastating impact this had on her mother and I. Someone gave us the book "Tear Soup".. I could not believe how the words in this book were the same feelings we were experiencing! I purchased 3 more books for my other adult kids to help bring them comfort also. It's not the answer to hurt and pain from loss, but it really does help to bring comfort! I highly recommend this book to anyone who has lost a loved one. It will help you to go on living, life must go on. JM
Book Review: Wonderful Comfort for anyone who has suffered a loss Summary: 5 Stars
This book was recommended to me by another bereaved friend and I could not have been given a better suggestion. This is a book especially comforting to anyone who doesn't quite know how to express their feelings, especially when the loved one lost is very close to them, like a child. The illustrations and the simplicity of the entire book are magnificient with the kind message. I would highly recommend this to anyone who might have an interest in understanding loss and trying to heal. I am taking it to my grief counseling group and sharing it with a number of other individuals who I know will appreciate its incredible beauty.
Book Review: Can't do better..... Summary: 5 Stars
This book cannot be read without adding to the tear soup that the author is brewing. As others said in their reviews, I bought two more as soon as I gave the first one away. SO worth having around in times of loss. Really gets to how you feel when you lose someone close to you. I especially related with one page when the main character looks out the window and can't understand how the world in still carrying on when her world came to a screeching halt..... I have a three, five and eight year old and this really helped them when they lost their aunt to cancer..... and its cheaper here than at the bookstore, too!
Book Review: Excellent Summary: 5 Stars
At 1st I decided not to leave a review b/c already there are so many, but PRAISE is always due for this book. I will quote an earlier reviewer that so far, this bk is "...the best, truest book on grief I have ever read..."
I also highly recommend it for times of sudden & tragic losses. It was here on Amazon(over a yr ago) that I 1st learned of the bk, yet since then I read & given it as a condolence gift(to an Adult- who loved it). And I've known this book referred to others by "word of mouth" many times over. I hope this bk provides the support & guidance you all are seeking. Peace & Strength.
Book Review: TOUCHED MY HEART BEYOND WORDS Summary: 5 Stars
I lost my husband 2 months ago, very unexpectedly, to cancer and have wondered how I would ever survive. This book expresses so well what I felt and things that would happen. I was skeptical about buying because I thought it might be too cutesy about such a serious subject. I loved it completely, and it was so nice to know that I wasn't alone. Easy, fast reading that I will read over and over again. Beautifully illustrated too. It gave me so much comfort and hope. I HIGHLY recommend this book. You will not be disappointed and like me you will find others you want to buy this book for or share yours.
