Book Review: Best of the bunch

I like this book about living foods better than any of the other books on the subject I have read so far. Dr. Graham makes understanding the living foods diet simple, and explains why we don't NEED to complicate it. Most raw foodies try to make recipes that will remind them of cooked food dishes. Maybe that helps them to make the transition from cooked foods at first; but eventually we wean ourselves off those habits, and begin eating the way we were designed to eat: living fruits and leaves, with a only small amounts of fat and protein. I also like Victoria Boutenko's book, "Green for Life," very much. People just beginning to investigate the living food diet might want to start with "Green for Life," then move on to study "The 80/10/10 Diet." Both books express similar philosophies, but Victoria's book opens up her own path of discovery, and how she came upon the idea of green smoothies to help people make the transition to living foods. Dr. Grahams book expands on the theme that Victoria Boutenko initiated.

Book Review: One of the most popular raw vegan book's ever created

Every time I go to our local pot luck some one brings up this book, to talk about it. I carry my copy every place I go to read a chapter here and there to think about and to be inspired by. I highly recommend getting this book to add to your raw, vegan, fruitarian book collect.

There are many videos discussing this book on youtube. Many groups to join online working this program. If want to loose weight, look better, rid yourself of dis-ease and nasty life threatening health conditions may want to get this book. If you know of someone with health challenges, this is the perfect resource tool to give them.

A life saver book for them and for your self friends and family. If have a child that is having health problems, this book will save their life...and teach them a dis-ease free life that will allow them to live easily into their 90's plus easily and effortlessly. The children will love you every day for setting them free from cancer and other horrible traumas..... Namaste'

Book Review: This book will change your life!

Of all the books I have in my bookcase, this is the one I hold as pivotal in transforming my health. It is a process transitioning into an 80/10/10 lifestyle, but it truly is soo worth it. It has completely changed my life and made me healthier physically, mentally, emotionally. There is literally no book I could recommend more than this one. And, by the way, Dr. Graham does recommend eating 1 lb of greens for men daily and just under for the average woman. That equates to about 1 head of leafy greens each day. Also, there is fat included,as this is a lowfat vegan lifestyle, not a no-fat vegan lifestyle! (For any person who does not get it!). As a raw vegan, you have the choice. You either get most of your calories from fats, or you get them from fruits. Greens do not provide enough calories and carbs alone, but they are essential for minerals. Fruits have the vitamins, greens have the minerals. Buy this book and also check out Dr. Graham's FoodnSport website. I wish I could give this book 80/10/10 stars!

Book Review: Not "just" fruit
Summary: 5 Stars

With a little more than three months on it, I really like this eating plan. It is not just fruit, although that is the bulk of what you eat. Which is fine if you like fruit (and I sure do!). For dinner you also eat a salad/soup type of meal, with some added fats in the form of nuts or avocado. I still can't eat as much as Graham recommends as far as the quantity of fruit, but I haven't felt like I'm starving or not getting enough nutrients. I actually feel pretty good.
At first I thought it was crazy, honestly-- I was even going to just leave the book at work for someone else to take. However, the more I read, the more I liked what Dr. Graham was saying. And anyone with young children will know that humans do tend to love and crave fruit. It's just when we get older we learn to prefer processed types of food.
The best thing is how simple and easy it is to shop for, prepare, and clean up after preparing a meal. Buying the simple ingredients has also been surprisingly easy on my budget.

Book Review: Insight and Inspriation

This book is so amazing, I started with folding the corner of pages with awesome facts about food and nutrition and the effects it has on your body that I wanted to remember and come back to, to study...but in the end, there were SO many pages, that I ended up buying a highlighter...now flicking through the book, its hard to find any text which ISN'T highlighted.
It's so so so interesting, covers all areas of all food groups and just what is in them and how that effects you long/short term, just everything. So fascinating, and totally inspires you to be the healthiest person you can be. I'm on a website which is all about Raw food, and this is the number 1 favourite book of the thousands of members on the website, they all LIVE by it, and are the healthiest looking people I've ever seen, worldwide. Also they have the most energy, and are the happiest people ever - and they all follow what this book says.
Definitely worth every penny - I even bought two copies. :)
